An Accident
Had a little accident early in the morning (about 0510-0520) on Thursday (04 January 2006). Went over a speed breaker (that was not marked and had no lights around), and could not keep the bike under control when I landed after the little flight. The helmet bore the brunt of the fall and I remained more of less undamaged. The bike had a little damage, but nothing major. I believe the damage would have been worse had I been driving at a higher speed (was driving at about 30-40 kmph because it was so cold that I could not imagine being able to drive any faster)
Words of Wisdom:
1. Don’t Drive.
2. If you must drive, don’t drive on roads that have bad lighting.
3. If you must drive on roads with bad light, drive at 10kmph or less.
Note to my co-workers: I should (hopefully) be back on Monday (08 January 2006)

Thank God you are fine, Please take care when you drive next time. Reminds me of the time when i had a fracture…that was no big accident but made me very alert after that.

Dee, I remember your fracture incident (think I still have some pictures lying around). This was a crazy one – went over a speed breaker at about 30 kmph and could not get the bike under control. Ah, well…
Btw, am perfectly fine… Should be back to biking in another day or two :-)

oh. so this was the accident you mentioned Sajith. Real lesson is – don’t be over confident about any road – you never know when and where new speed breakers pop up.

Very true silkboard, and to think that I have been driving on this road till two months back on a daily basis…

I have a better idea… Take driving lessons from a dare devil/stuntman. It would also be helpful when you have to deal with morons on wheels.

Err. Bike you ride; Car you drive
