Makes me wonder if the 64/128/256kbps connection that some vendors like to call broadband are really broadband.. And also wondering why the hell is bandwidth so damn expensive in India :-(

This is being brought to India via the CBU route which means Yamaha could have been selling this for about 500,000 (INR) on-road had it not been for our very greedy government asking for more than half my money as taxes/levies/duties :-(

Now if only I could get a (very) good hike that would let me buy this baby… Ah!

The Telegraph report:

The researchers at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, led by physicist C.S. Unnikrishnan, have produced for the first time in India an exotic state of matter, first predicted 82 years ago by Albert Einstein and Satyendra Nath Bose.

The TIFR scientists used magnetic fields and lasers to cool atoms to an extremely low temperature — a whisker above minus 273.15 C, or absolute zero — and created a Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC), sometimes called the fifth state of matter.

Okay, am saddened/disappointed/frustrated…

Was waiting for Zune release and it finally happened two days back. As expected Microsoft has released the product for US only. I think it should be available in EU sometime soon. But considering the fact that MS has only recently (a week back) released Xbox 360 in India, I guess it would be safe to assume that Zune will hit the shelves only by late 2007.

I was expecting some online retailers to have Zune and accept international orders. So first stop was amazon.com, sure they have Zune (and in stock too) but ship only to US. Same was the story with rest of the retailers found through froogle.

Does anyone know of a store that will ship to India? And does anyone know why MS releases products in India so very many months (if not years) after they are available to the rest of the world?
